| The Desert Sun
Process |
When you’re ready to join the Desert Sun team, we’ll
be beside you throughout the process – from the
initial exploratory phase to your grand opening and
beyond – helping you make decisions. Here’s what
you’ll be asked to do:
- Visit our web site at desertsuntanning.com,
where you’ll find the addresses for all our
locations and learn much more about our company
and your opportunity. We also encourage you to
visit any of our tanning salons and ask to speak
to the owner about his or her real life
experiences and success stories. For your
convenience, we can provide you with the names and
numbers of other franchisees. We know you’ll like
what you hear!
- After thoroughly reviewing this document,
complete the included “Franchisee Personal
Profile.” Then prepare a list of any questions you
might have. Be ready to discuss both your profile
and your questions during your next phone
conversation with us. All applications for Desert
Sun franchises are subject to our approval.
- Meet with us to review and sign the Uniform
Franchise Offering Circular (UFOC).
- Set up a meeting to sign our confidentiality
agreement and franchise agreement. At this stage,
you’ll pay the non-refundable franchise fee to
ensure your position in the order of salon
openings. Now that you are a franchisee, we’ll
share more of our trade secrets, plus the details
behind Desert Sun’s success.
- Begin the site search and funding process for
your salon.
- Find an ideal location. We will provide
valuable research and demographic analyses from
one of our commercial brokers. We’ll also assist
you in negotiating your lease and building
improvements with your landlord, making sure you
get the most for your money.
- Begin the design and construction process.
- Equip your salon with tanning beds financed
via your choice of loan, lease, or purchase. We
have made this process extremely simple, so please
turn to us for help with bed recommendations,
vendors, and leasing companies.
- Begin on-site training for you and your
employees – and get ready for your grand opening.
- Congratulations.
You’re in business!
